Lisa, it tells me I should have the hard acceleration on, too, but I ignore it because when it's on the screen is jumpy.
I use Firefox and I like the display much better. I hadn't used Chrome for FV2 in a long time and I got the Launcher msg last night (when I was looking to see if you were on my neighbor bar there and looking at the full screen thingy) so I downloaded it and, I have to say, that since I did FV2 is loading much faster on Firefox, although I have no idea why it should. Gift horse and all that. lol
I just checked my neighbor bar in Firefox and you're not on there yet, but it sometimes takes a day or so. Fingers crossed.

Nancy: Thank you so much for the welcome. It's so unbelievably odd that I can send and receive requests, visit everyone's farm, etc. yet I don't show up anywhere. I'm assuming y'all are receiving gifts I send? I should show up as Lisa G. or maybe do a search for my farm (Maplewood Farms)? I've received several neighbor requests from you and have accepted every one. So odd!
Cate: I've left the acceleration off but I don't see any difference. Maybe I should give Firefox a try. I used to use that when I would farm at work. I ended up switching to Chrome for some reason and I don't think I had the Launcher problems as far as having to relaunch it all the time. I detest having to have both Safari and Chrome on my computer just to play. I hope I show up on your bar soon, too.
I do wish I could figure out a way to save my avatar in the game so it would help y'all find me when I do show up. I know the account section of all that looks very different from what I remember. I used to go in and delete friends who no longer played. You could go in and see their requests and how long it had been since they'd played.
The joys and frustrations of Farmville!

Lisa,
I can't find you today, as of yet. I wish Zynga would keep everyone in the correct order as far as levels. That would make it so easy. I've watched my bar and noticed that if a player has stopped playing all together or rarely, they drop like a rock. Some of our Co-op took a break from playing and even though they are much higher level than myself, they farm/icon was way down the list. I will try searching for you again.
You are so right and the World of Zynga. I play another game by Zynga, it's called "Harry Potter Puzzles & Spells". It runs so smoothly for the most part, wish Zynga could put some of that good mojo over here on FV2!

Lisa, I don't see anything you send and I check my farm and my Inbox. Nada. And, despite my optimism, you're still not on my neighbor bar. We're frustrated, too, that we can't see you.
I mentioned to Carrie the day before yesterday that I wondered if a reset would work, that is, you leave the co-op and then come back in. It might work if what's preventing us seeing you is a glitch. Gawd knows Zynga has enough of them, but I've been playing since FV2 first started and I've never seen this happen before.
When we reach the co-op goal, do you get the favors then or have to wait until Friday? If you get them right away (or after you refresh the game) then it could be done without you losing the week's favors if that's important for you. For example, if we completed the co-op goal on a Wed or Thurs and you got the favors, you could leave the co-op and jump back in before the new week begins on Friday about noon.
We might not be able to do it this week without you losing favors as I'm not confident we'll reach the goal by Thursday eve this week because we have 5 players out, and 3 of them--Kathy, Frances & Ruth--usually complete high numbers of orders.
What do you think of the idea of leaving and getting right back in? I had to do it once to fix a problem Carrie & I had. I'll admit it was kinda scary but it worked easy peasy.

Wow, this board has gotten busy since the last time I logged it. I'm so glad to see it, although the reasons could definitely be better.
I'm going to try to catch-all this in order to catch up. Here goes...
I'm pretty sure I only have one Lisa as a friend and that is Lisa G. She shows up in the co-op, on the pop-ups when asking for items, etc, however I get nothing in my inbox envelope at the start of the game - no requests for items and no items given, plus Lisa still is not on my neighbor bar and I have not had a visit from her either. So weird.
Cate, I have tried to download the launcher when playing on Chrome, however the process just stops and disappears, no matter how many times I try. So Chrome is a no go for me. I could try uninstalling launcher, clearing my cache, and then going to Chrome to reinstall Launcher. But, like you said, I think with all the co-op members we have Zynga vs. FaceBook and Chrome vs. FireFox covered. So I think I'll pass on the uninstalling and reinstalling. I don't even know what to say if it does turn out to be a Mac issue.
Gayle, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I hope everything works out! Whatever you decide to do, please keep us updated.
Lisa, I do like playing on FireFox, but there is a lot of refreshing to be done because after visiting about three farms, avatars, animals, and trees start to disappear. It couldn't hurt to give it a try. However, I do agree with Cate's idea of a reset - you leaving the co-op and coming back in to see if that fixes your invisibleness (I just made that word up - spell checker is telling me so LOL).

Nancy: It does seem FV is Zynga's forgotten child. Oh my goodness, having neighbors according to their level would be awesome. When I was working (I had a lot of free time to work on my farm and my design business lol), I created a text file with all my neighbors. Their levels, if they were active or not, which farms were abandoned and good for water, etc.
Cate: That is so odd! Why can I receive everyone's requests and gifts but none of you are getting mine .. so weird!! I've received the co-op items that I've asked for help on as well. I know I've already reached my personal goal of 15 for this week, but I can't remember if I received the favors immediately or not..I *think* I did. I'm still helping with orders even though I've reached that. I'm trying to get into my farm right now but unable to. Once I post here, I'll close out Chrome and clear the cache. Once I get in I'll leave the co-op and rejoin.
Carrie: I'm bound to be the Lisa G. you have. And I have the same issue with Chrome after visiting several neighbors .. things and people start disappearing.
And .. "invisibleness" is totally a word and it passed my spell checker, too!

Ok...I'm a Harry Potter nutball. If you know or have seen Harry Potter you will understand this. Lisa is shrouded under an invisibility cloak. I know that is the reason we can't see her.
I'm having so much trouble out of the game today. I posted in chat about my neighbors being gone except for our Co-op (minus Lisa). I tried to visit and it won't let me. And I just now noticed after restarting my desktop computer that most or half of Co-op is showing being at Level 1. There are a few of us showing correct level.
So I guess after I get my stuff watered I'm done for the day. Which I don't like on bit.
I hope all of you have better luck than I've had today.
Happy Farming my friends!

Nancy: So that explains my invisibility!!
I confess I've never seen the Harry Potter movies, but I do want to watch them at some point.
I gave up trying to log in earlier today. I looked in the FV2 page on FB and many people were having trouble logging in. I finally logged in a bit ago and after three Whoops-a-Daisy, I gave up. I only hope that the crops I harvested will stick and not die before I try later or tomorrow.
I noticed there were only a handful of people on my neighbor bar. The game defaults and ironically a few of you instead of all my old neighbors.
Carrie and Cate: I left the co-op group and requested to join again. Fingers crossed it works.

Lisa, I just logged in and I see that you left the co-op, but it isn't showing that you have asked to join. I sent you an invite to join the co-op. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get it.

Lisa, I guess you thought the reset was worth trying.
I hadn't checked marked the boxes on the co-op board that allows anyone to join. So, there was no request from you, although I did see that you'd left the group so did it immediately. Try again. You should be able to do it without Carrie or I having to approve it, just like last time.
Apparently, Zynga was having trouble with the server again. I checked with a couple of people, too, and nobody was getting on. I was finally able to about 3:30 p.m. but, like others I had not neighbors and a few other things.
Additional info -- Lisa despite there being a green banner that you left the co-op, you were still listed as a member. I can only assume your request to join wasn't sent because the game thought you already a member. Took a few tries but I manage to remove you. So, back to the original plan of try to join again.
