Again, it's been awhile since I have even logged on to the forum. I miss so much too.
First, Gayle I'm so sorry for your loss.
Second, to answer your question Carrie. Yes. This year we bought over $3000.00 of fruits and vegetables and gave away to the community. Also, we partnered with "Feeding America", they brought us a large box truck full of vegetables and using our man power we distributed it to our community. We have been discussing buying quick-easy open cans, snack packs, etc. to give out to the homeless/needy and just keeping it in the store already bagged up.
Thank goodness I've stopped mowing. I don't like that I'm not getting much exercise, but it's nice to have some free time. Ha...there are weeks that I don't even go to the backyard. Although, my brother-in-law told me I needed to go and start the mowers at least once a month. I hope I can remember. LOL

Nancy, we usually don't mow December, January, February, March, April, and sometimes May (depending on whether or not it's warm enough for the bumblebees to come out of hibernation). We don't do anything with the mower during those months and when it does come time to start it up for the first time, it usually doesn't go so well. We do use TruFuel 4-Cycle gas when we start up the mower in the spring and that does seem to help. It is ethanol free, my husband explained to me that is is basically a purer form of gasoline. It is much more expensive than regular gasoline, so we don't use it all the time in the mower. We do use it exclusively in the snow blower. Gas from the gas station messed up the snow blower. Hubby had to take the engine apart and clean it. So, we won't make that mistake again.

That's awesome that St. Vincent's does so much to help feed those in need. That is good work!

Well it's been awhile since I've logged on to forum. I just shut the game down and thought I better check it out. Wanted to see if anyone had posted something new.
I've been sick all week with a very bad cold. Yesterday was the really the first day I felt like doing anything. Good thing Hallmark/Lifetime started showing Christmas movies. Speaking of that, this is the first year in many that I don't have all my decorations up. Nothing in the house, I did put up decorations outside but I haven't run the power to any of it. Usually, everything is completely done and just waiting on Thanksgiving to be over with.
I'm sort of a Scrouge....I don't like to see Christmas lights turned on before Thanksgiving. So with my own, they usually are ready to go and flip the switch on Friday night.
I guess the anniversary of my Dad dying (November 24, 1976) hit me harder this year for some reason. I can't explain it. I did lose the only cousin on my Moms side in September. It's a sad and scary situation. She was a school teacher, smart as a whip. She was diagnosed with Dementia about 3 years ago. It was heart breaking, she lived near Chicago. Her husband called on my birthday and Karen & him sang "Happy Birthday" to me over the phone. I heard her having a hard time, she couldn't remember the words. All she was able to say was "Happy Birthday". After the call, I couldn't stop crying for a long time. Little did I know that about 2 weeks later she would be gone. I can't imagine getting to the point that you don't even know family members. It's so hard on everyone.
I'm sorry for the rambling. It seems like I get really weird in my old age. LOL
I hope everyone is doing well.

Sorry you have been ill Nancy. I've been avoiding almost everyone due to colds etc with my lungs I can't risk it.

First time out in ages was to a beer & burger for a friend of my granddaughters. Her friend lost due to an accident her fiance and the soon to be father of her first baby. So sad but heartening to see everyone pull together.

I am still dealing with the loss of my sister. Still remember being so thrilled she was moving back to the island (home) again and then to lose her so soon after. Still haven't even seen her "new" place. I'm not much into christmas this year except for the "littles" and strangely I do have a tree on my balcony, just haven't turned the lights on as yet.

Anyways I hope you soon feel better. And I yes sometimes I think weirdness comes with age. Or maybe just when we get older we don't care who sees it anymore. Food for thought.
Take CAre

Oh and I meant to add I haven't been playing much. Partly mood but mostly game is being so flippin' glitchy. If it was a board game it would be flying across the room into the recycling bin for sure.

We don't have any Christmas decorations up at all this year. I feel so tired all of the time, it just seems like too much work for me this year.

Nancy, I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better, hopefully you'll be back to your usual self, lickety split.

Gayle, I mostly avoid everyone too. COVID doesn't seem to be a thing for the rest of the world anymore, but it scares me - a lot. I'm usually the only one or one of a very few who still wears a mask when I go out. Plus, I've always been a happy introvert, so staying home is actually relaxing and calming for me.

The game has been ridiculously glitchy for me too. FV2 has always been kind of glitchy, but lately it has been much more so. This past couple of weeks, I have to log in multiple times to get the game to actually load. It doesn't seem to matter if I uninstall and reinstall either. And just forget about the Christmas Village this year. The crops are withered, but I have noticed when you get enough wreathes to upgrade the village, more crops are unwithered each time. However, twice now, I've had it crash on me while I was there harvesting stuff, then you can't get back until the next time you upgrade the village.

Please don't worry about not playing often. You gals take care of yourselves, first and foremost.

Well, I went to church, came home and ate lunch. Thought I'd play while the first load of laundry is washing. The silly game is acting up again. I've uninstalled Launch+. I'm attempting to install again. Don't know how that will go. Hopefully, I can get it going again.
It wouldn't let me log in. The log in "wheel" kept going around and around.
Everyone have a great up coming week.

The game does seem to be extra glitchy lately. I keep having a pop up while I'm crafting something and again, I spent farm bucks on something I don't even need - a golden shovel. I have several in my inventory that I don't use, why in the world would I spend farm bucks on one? But support doesn't seem to like me very much, so I'm just going to go with it. :|

My Shih Tzu Christmas decorations

Just a little background on my furbabies.
I'm definitely crazy about my little puppy boy. I have always been nuts over my dogs (Shih Tzu). The one I have now is 71/2 yrs old. He is the fourth one that I have had, bought the 1st one in 1999. The first two I had lived over 16 yrs (Buster & Babs, then came B.B. which all 3 were named after cartoon characters. All three of them passed away in 2015. Now on to Little Bear, Bear for short or "crazy puppy boy", "silly puppy" or "Bear-Bear".
