One of the awesome things about the Lost & Found Co-op is that we're constantly learning from each other. Please post here your best tips and tricks for improving game play and increasing enjoyment of FV2.
I'll go first. . . .
Use Just 4 Shears to Prune a Full Grove

Use Just 4 Shears to Prune a Full Grove
There’s an old FV2 trick that lets you use just 4 shears to accomplish the same thing. The success of the trick depends on 2 things:
1. Having just 4 shears (or less) in the Tool Shed
- You can’t account for shears that are put directly into your Tool Shed from rewards or game prizes, etc. And, you can’t put shears already in the Tool Shed in the inventory. It’s inevitable then that you will occasionally prune groves with more than 4 shears.
- The game will automatically use as many shears as there are in the Tool Shed to the max number specified in the grove pop-op, that is, usually 12-16. For instance, if you have 7 shears in the Tool Shed, the game will use 7 shears instead of 4 to prune the grove using this method.
2. Getting shears directly from the Tool Shed instead of using the grove pop-up
- Your tree inventory will increase once you start putting all elder trees in there instead of immediately selling them. If you have to sell some trees from the inventory to put in the Tool Shed, ideally you’ll sell trees of which you have 5 or more, keeping 4 in case you need those particular trees again. Or, if needed, sell easily replaced (cheap) trees such as oranges, apples, etc. to get shears.
Tip: Always store elder trees instead of selling them, unless you are certain there are no trees already in the Tool Shed.
Steps
1. Fill and water a tree grove. Tip: save water by watering before pruning.
2. Check Tool Shed for amount of shears already in there shed, and adjust number if needed.
Note: The trick will not work if you use the grove pop-up.
3. Click “Use” in the Tool Shed to get shears.
Very Important: Highlight the grove from slightly outside the grove. Do not click until you see a yellow square around the outside of entire grove otherwise you’ll end up using all the shears (4) but only prune 1 tree.

Tip for extra coins.
When you get the purple clock "Double Time". That is the time to get extra coins from other farmers.
For example: I'm using Carries farm as an example.
Click on at least 4 of her Heirloom Norway Spruce trees (can do all 10, but this only works on 4 of them).
You will get extra xp for the wood and I get almost double the coins.
Without out the purple clock I will receive almost 4000 coins, but with it I get almost 8000.
This can be used on anything, but make sure that the item is either fertilized crop or heirloom tree.
Also, I regularly sell some of my inventory items. Like the broken pottery, arrowheads and such we get from the mine. Or items made from quests.
The only thing I won't sell are fish or ingredients (crops or tree harvest items).

That's a good tip, Nan.

You all may already know this but I'm just going to share the tip/trick anyway
If you place your Crop Fields close to your Tree Groves (like I place mine along the Tree Groves), using 1 Farmhand to water 1 Tree Grove will also water your nearby Crop Field.
Some Tree Grove (pruned) requires 16 waters (each), so using 1 Farmhand to water that Tree Grove could basically save you 21 waters. And that's just 1 Farmhand. I have like 16 or sometimes more every day.

Frances,
Thanks for the tip. I'm always looking for ways to get more water. I know you wrote about watering tree groves will it work in reverse? Using a farmhand to water a crop field that is close to a tree grove? I had already visited your farm, but went back to look at your situation. I was surprised that they could be that far away from tree groves. Thanks again for the tip.

Nancy,
Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around. You will have to water the Tree Groves. I always use Farmhands on Tree Groves that require 8, 12, 16, or even 24 waters each.
Also, if you have individual plots close to your Tree Groves instead of the Crop Fields or if you have individual plots between your Tree Groves and Crop Fields, each Farmhand will water 1 Tree Grove and the 4 individual plots instead of the Crop Field (which is a combination of 5 plots).
Moreover, if your Crops don't need to be watered, using Farmhands on your Tree Groves will "instant grow" your nearby Crops. I sometimes do it this way for crops that take 24 hours to harvest when I need to complete certain quests like "harvest 20 strawberries".
P/S: You don't need to rearrange your entire Farm. Just move the Tree Groves you want to water close to the Crop Fields, use the Farmhands on them and then move the Tree Groves back to where they should be.

The other day I was trying to fix something else on my computer and inadvertently learned how to speed up how fast the game loads. I thought it might have been a fluke at the time so I waited a few days to see if I could replicate it before I mentioned it as a tip. lol
This might not apply to anyone with high speed internet, but I live in the country and have notoriously slow and unreliable internet and often lags in how long it takes me to move from one site to another. I was stunned to see how quickly FV2 loads after the tweak. I measured how just how fast it is: the game fully loads for me in about 1 minute, which is amazing, and I can move from my farm to another farmer's farm and it's fully loaded in 10 seconds! It's so awesome.
It's very easy to do. Here's the link
https://fixergeek.com/fixes/how-to-allo ... -a-program AS the info says, it's a way to assign more bandwidth of your internet to whatever program you want.
The instructions aren't clear that once you select the program you want, which for us is Farmville Two.exe, you have to highlight it and right click to be able to Select Priority. I then pick High. The cool thing is that it doesn't mess up anything else and work just for that situation. That means the next time you open the game you have to assign the higher priority of internet again. It's worth it because it only takes a monute to do.
If anybody wants to try it, I'll be happy to help if needed.
P.S. It doesn't stop the game from crashing--that's FV2's doing. lol I still have to open the game 3 times before I can play.

It sort of sounds very clear, that is if you know your computer. I have worked on a computer at work for over 20 years. So it sounds easy to me. I will try it probably tomorrow since it's getting late and I've not eaten yet. And let's face it...my gut is more important at this moment. LOL
