Well this is the first time in quite a while that I have been on the forum. You know how life gets in the way. I do love summer even with all the added work that it brings to me.
I don't know if I have even posted this before (I know I've told Cate). I have been alone for almost 13 1/2 yrs. So it is on me to do every single thing around and in my house. I don't have any kids or grandkids to help me. I do have a brother & sister in law (B.J.s brother and his wife), they both work full time jobs. They live about 20 miles from me and their jobs take them over 20 miles from their house (in the opposite direction of my house). So it's rare that I get to see them, maybe 1 or 2 times a month.
Anyway, on top of that I have had to take over the majority of running the St. Vincent de Paul store of which I have volunteered at for almost 6 years. I volunteer/work at least 3 days a week and on my off days I squeeze in doctors appts and my computer work. But I am so very grateful & blessed that I am still able to get up and go (maybe a little slower in the mornings...LOL). I know there are so many that can't do what I do.
I usually am ok as long as I keep going, if I even stop/sit for too long it is murder trying to get up and go again.
Thank you for bearing with me as I ramble on.

It's been a long time since I've posted too. I haven't been able to play FV2 very much lately at all. I miss our co-op. But, Life has other ideas for me right now. I've tried having a sit down talk with Life, but she's pretty headstrong and thinks she knows better than I do. She's probably right.

Nancy, I think it is so wonderful that you remind yourself of what you do have rather than what you don't have. I think that is a wonderful world view and one I do my best to practice myself. I struggle with that more often than I would like, but I keep working at it.

And please feel free to ramble on anytime you would like. I'll ramble on with you!

Well here I go again! LOL
I have been so busy of late. The store is a wonderful place and I'm grateful for it. Some weeks it's so time consuming and it doesn't stop when I leave either. When I get home there are days I must do a lot of paper & computer work. All supplies that need to be ordered.
The one thing I like about this time of year is planning on how we are going to help the community with a big year end Christmas donation. Last year we gave over $20,000.00 in either money or goods back to our county. We have already started planning on where to give the money this year. I'm in the process of checking on prices for 100 twin sheet sets, 100 towels & washcloths & 100 pillows. We have an organization here that helps young men get back on their feet. The place is called a "Healing Place" and it can house 100 men. We owe them a lot because a couple of them help us pick up donated furniture every week . I can't remember if I have ever said but I am one of the youngest volunteers (66), the rest of them are in their late 70's to 80's.
Thanks for reading!

I'm guessing you get busier the closer we get to the holidays? I think people tend to donate more around Christmas.

I'm only somewhat familiar with St. Vincent De Paul, do they ever do food drives or provide meals for those in need?

Just a quick jump in to say I will be back in game. I just wont' be playing as long or as regularly as before. Maybe when the long winter months hit.

Gayle, thanks for letting us know.

You missed some "fun" with a rather annoying friends and neighbors glitch. I think it bothered me more than anyone else. Half of my friends disappeared, a large portion of my neighbors disappeared too. People's pictures were changed, some of their names were changed too - I only recognized them because I knew what their farms looked like. Then there were people on my neighbor bar, that I wasn't familiar with at all.

Zynga fixed it just recently, I think two days ago? I'm really glad they were able to fix whatever went wrong!

I'm so glad you are back to playing! You do what works best for you, it's all good.

Thanks Carrie. When I went back into game i did have my friends but I went up two levels just harvesting 😲 Not complaining.

Also I will only be playing for short whiles at a time. My oldest sister passed away suddenly a few days ago so I've basically been playing
again just to keep my mind occupied. She had just moved back here to the Island after living away for years. Hard to come to terms with that.
